Im a duke now and to make a merchant republic I have heard I need to be a king, im assuming the negative opinion modifier for wrong holding type will disappear then so putting that aside Id like to know how to make a bishop the head of a province. It will take away most of the income. It is easier to make a republic by holy war against other religion than claims against own religion. Now, im not a CK2 novice, I know im not allowed cities or bishoprics but these are castles. I gave away the bishopric that I took over, but I still have it and it says that the Chiefdom of Gwynedd is the wrong holding type for me.
